Hotel digital signage

In a hotel, ensuring that guests are satisfied is one of the primary objectives. Research even suggests that customer satisfaction is a key driver of loyalty in the hotel industry. This underlines the importance of providing an experience that is optimised for guests. Hardware that is designed for hotel digital signage offers many possibilities to enhance guest experience and entice customers to come back.

On this page, you will learn how hotel digital signage hardware can be used for various solutions, focused on making your guests’ stay even more pleasant.

Customer-friendly hardware for hotel digital signage

Within hotels, our hardware is used for various applications that are aimed at improving guest experience. During their stay, guests will encounter a number of these solutions.

Visitor registration

The first thing that guests will need to do once they arrive is check in. Through the use of a kiosk equipped with ProDVX hardware, you can provide a welcoming experience with a user-friendly touch panel where guests can check themselves in. ProDVX devices are designed for 24/7 usage. As some guests arrive early, while some arrive late at night due to delays, the 24/7 usage of our devices allow guests to effortlessly check in, at any time of day.

Through the use of accessories on our hardware like our barcode scanner or camera, you can make the check in process even easier by allowing guests to scan a code from their mobile device. This way, all the necessary information is directly uploaded to the kiosk, which saves time for everybody.

Self-service kiosk

Besides checking in, a self-service kiosk can be used for many more applications in a hotel. For example, to obtain incremental sales by allowing guests to purchase upgrades or other extras. Through upselling other services such as premier parking spots, room service, breakfast or even bike rentals, you can improve the guest’s stay while also generating some extra income for the hotel.

Another useful application for self-service kiosks in your hotel is that guests can place service requests through the display on the kiosk. This way, guests can notify hotel staff if they want some new, fresh towels or if the room has a faulty refrigerator. There is no need to wait in line at the lobby or on the phone, which is beneficial to the guest.

Guests can also easily find relevant information about your hotel and the surrounding area using self-service kiosks. Information about all the amenities that are on offer, such as pool and gym opening hours, the daily restaurant menu or the different types of massages at the hotel spa can all be easily accessed using a self-service kiosk. The kiosk can also show highlights from around the area, highly rated restaurants or public transport times. Through the use of the user-friendly 10‑point PCAP touch panels in our devices, guests will find it easy to browse through all the upgrades, service requests or hotel information.

Wayfinding system

One thing all hotels will agree on is that they don’t want their guests to get lost and be unable to find their way to their room, the pool or restaurant. With the use of a wayfinding system that runs on ProDVX hardware, you can ensure that guests will effortlessly find their way to their destination.

A big advantage over traditional signage is that it integrates with other systems. Does the hotel have a business centre? Integrate the wayfinding system with a room booking system, so that guests can easily schedule meetings. Does the pool bar offer a new cocktail? Include these and other commercial communications in the wayfinding system. This way, the wayfinding system does more than simply showing people where to go, and provides additional benefits. In addition, a digital wayfinding system is always up to date, in contrast with static signposting which can become outdated.

Hotels exist in all kinds of different sizes, and so does our hardware. ProDVX offers a wide variety of digital signage hardware, ranging from 7” to 37”. This means that there is bound to be a display in our selection that fits your wayfinding needs.

Digital signage

Showing guests the right information at the right time is very important to make the guests’ experience more comfortable. Go the extra mile and use displays in the hotel lobby to provide suggestions for your guests on activities to do. Is there a concert taking place, a new tourist attraction to visit or a must-visit restaurant? Through the use of hotel digital signage hardware, you can easily suggest activities like these to your guests. It is of course also possible to display more practical information, such as the daily menu of the restaurant, breakfast times or the opening hours of the pool. Much of our hardware can operate up to a brightness of 500 cd/m2, meaning that your messages will stand out and be noticed by your guests.

Room signage

Many hotels contain a business centre where conference and meeting rooms allow businesspeople to come together. Through the use of a room booking system that runs on our room signage displays, these meetings can be managed in an efficient way. On these displays, guests can book meeting rooms (which can also be done digitally) and view relevant information about the room booking.

One useful feature of ProDVX room signage displays is the RGB LED bar. This LED bar can either be on the sides of the display or fully surround it. The LED bar can be configured to show any preferred colour and is often used to signal meeting room availability. This way, from a distance it is possible to tell whether a meeting room is currently occupied or not. Red can mean there is a meeting going on, while green can indicate the room is free and ready to be used.

Customer feedback

At the end of every hotel stay, the time comes to check out, which is an ideal moment to include the last bit of hotel digital signage: the customer feedback system. No matter if it’s mounted on the front desk of the lobby or as part of a kiosk, knowing what your guests think about their stay is extremely important to be able to make improvements that persuade them to come back. Through the 10-point PCAP touch functionality on our displays, guests will have no trouble leaving you these critical customer reviews.
